My kid was right… DAMN!

Back in January I got a call at work from my 11 year old son. I wasn’t in, so he left a message. Went a little something like this:

"Dad, I need a cellphone. If I can’t text, I can’t date… I got lots of money to pay for things, I’ll buy you a car if you want… blah, blah, blah."

I called bullshit. But a little over a month later his Mom (my lovely bride of almost 14 years, W00T W00T!) purchased a Virgin Mobile cellphone with unlimited text just for him. Please note, I don’t even own a cellphone.

Today he got a text while we were eating dinner.

"Do u want to go out :I"

Wow, not only is texting the way to communicate, but turns out the girls treat everyday like Sadie Hawkins. Damn, to be a young man in this new world of tech and love.
